1995年姫路工業大学卒，修士(1997)，博士(工学)(2000)．同年4月郵政省通信総合研究所特別研究員，同年10月姫路工業大学(現兵庫県立大学)助手，2005年准教授，2017年同教授．2017年より先端医工学研究センター長，2022年より兵庫県立大学先端医療工学研究所長．2022年より国立循環器病研究センター脳卒中・循環器病次世代医療研究部長を兼務．2011年よりペンシルバニア大学放射線科客員研究員(1年間)．人工知能を用いた医用画像解析に関する研究に従事．原著論文は100編以上，査読あり国際会議論論文は約400件．2009年IEEE Franklin V. Taylor Memorial Awardなど多くの国際賞を受賞．IEEE SMCS副会長補佐，日本知能情報ファジィ学会理事，日本医用画像工学会理事，バイオメディカル・ファジィ・システム学会理事・同英文誌編集委員長，日本臨床バイオメカニクス学会評議員，IEEE SMC Japan Chapter Chair，IEEE SMC2018 Publication Chair，SMC2019 Area Program Chair，WAC2024 General Co-Chair，SCIS&ISIS2024 Local Chairなどを歴任，IEEE Senior Member，日本生体医工学会，電子情報通信学会などの会員．

Biography
Syoji Kobashi received Dr. of Engineering from Himeji Institute of Technology (2000). He is currently the director of Advanced Medical Engineering Research Institute since 2022, and a professor Graduate School of Engineering since 2018 at University of Hyogo, JAPAN. He is currently a professor. He is also the director of advanced medical engineering research institute of University of Hyogo since 2022 and the specially appointed director of national cerebral and cardiovascular center, JAPAN, since 2022. His research interests include artificial intelligence in medical engineering. He is the chair of IEEE SMC Japan chapter, the editor of International Journal of Biomedical Soft Computing and Human Sciences (IJBSCHS), the editor at large of autosoft journal, and a senior member of IEEE.
